HOW TO USE CAKE

At adgrow.io we use CAKE as our tracking system. It allows us to manage, measure and optimize our campaigns in real-time + the system has plenty of customisation options and great reporting.
‍
CAKE is widely used among affiliates and performance marketing professionals, so many of our partners are already familiar with the system. At the same time, it is very easy to onboard new partners who might never have used the system before. CAKE is directly integrated with our CRM system.
‍

Once you complete our KYC (know your client) form and get approved as a partner, we integrate key info from your application form into the system and automatically create your account in CAKE. + New campaign setup and postback links implementation, and is very easy and intuitive.

What you can do in CAKE:

β€’ See apply to run offers and custom offers available to you
β€’ Access reporting and key metrics of your campaign
β€’ Implement and setup postback URL to your campaign
β€’ Find links to landing pages and creatives (creatives archive)

Setting up campaigns and tracking is where you need to be attentive and make sure it’s done right. Here are a few tips and a step-by-step guide that will help minimize mistakes.

Most common mistakes:

β€’ Changed postback link in your tracking system and did not update link in Cake.
One of the common problems - you have changed your postback link, but did not update it in CAKE.

β€’ Postback setup test
After you set up a postback link, you need to test whether it works correctly and you can track conversion on your end. Make sure you ping your manager so you both run a test.

How to avoid making mistakes:

β€’ ask you manager to set it up with you
β€’ do not run the campaign until you test and
β€’ make sure a postback link is working make sure your manager is aware you have started a campaign

What do you do when something goes wrong:

Again - ask your affiliate manager. This is the best and the quickest way to solve the problem and fix it.
